ABOUT THE BAND

Arcadia is a band based in Charlottesville, Virginia, whose repertoire consists of all-original songs penned by its members. In 2022, the group formed as a collaboration of local songwriters and musicians who shared an interest in writing and performing their own material, some of which has been included on numerous Top 10 Billboard albums as well as being nationally awarded. The group draws from a diverse range of musical influences - Southern rock, blues, country, pop, and rock - to serve up their own unique, musical gumbo.

John Rimel

keyboards, bass, vocals

John Rimel’s songs have been featured on seven Top 10 Billboard albums. He has received several national awards for his original tunes, including Country Music Song of the Year for “More than a Name on a Wall.” He has toured extensively, playing high-profile venues across the U.S., including the Grand Ole Opry, and has shared the stage with artists as diverse as Ricky Scaggs, Dr. John, Jimmy Fortune, Hall & Oates, Earl Scruggs, James Cotton, and Roy Orbison.

Eddie Hall

drums, percussion, vocals

Eddie Hall provides a rock-solid foundation for the band and adds the distinctive flair that showcases the material from behind his drum set, where he has been anchored for more than fifty years, lending his excellent percussion talents to a wide variety of artists. He has performed with many stellar artists, including Delbert McClinton, Asleep at the Wheel, Terry Allard, and many more.

Ed Sheffield

lead guitar, vocals

Ed Sheffied, a talented guitarist and session player, has been a staple in the central Virginia music scene for more than 40 years. A seasoned pro, he has shared the stage with a wide-ranging variety of awesome musicians and top-notch musical acts.

Brian Rimel

guitar, sax, vocals

Brian Rimel, a gifted singer-songwriter, rounds out the band’s talented quartet. His unique blend of family harmony, as well as his acoustic guitar and saxophone work help add to and define the band’s trademark sound. In addition to his musical contributions, he helps guide and advise the band with its recording, marketing, and online promotion.
